Refined Max Impact Technology
Titleist engineers refined Max Impact Technology and added dampening in the muscle badge to guide the frequencies created at impact into the ideal player range.
D18 Tungsten Weighting
The U505 utilise denser D18 tungsten weights and a 2000º brazing process used in aerospace construction. This allowed engineers to eliminate welding points on the design, and the weight saved is precisely placed using the same dual-tungsten weighting as Titleist Tour distance irons, leading to a solid feel with maximum forgiveness.
Tour-Validated Appearance
A new, cleaner design creates more confidence at the address position, with a shorter blade and shallow face, U•505 sets up the way Tour Pros feel a utility should. The U505 features a more stable, reengineered chassis and a lower CG position to help maintain speed and stability on strikes made away from the centre. Plus a new single taper face improves performance towards the heel for tighter overall distance dispersion.
Precision CNC Face & Groove Milling Process
In addition to the other construction aspects, the U505 benefits from a new precision CNC face milling process. The result is more controlled and consistent ball flight, especially when moving from the fairway to the first cut.
Refined Variable Bounce Sole
With valid input from Tour Professionals and Vokey grind experts, Titleist has engineered the U505 with a simple Tour touch improvement to further improve the variable bounce sole. By smoothing and softening the trailing edge allows the club to interact better through the turf, even after impact.
